We have a 2006 318 Vista. Does anyone know if the table opposite the kitchenette can be removed? It sits so close to the couch that only two people can sit there without bumping into the table. We have lowered it to use as a foot rest, but that too is in the way. Only time we really need it is when we're eating or preparing meals down below. We've tried taking it out, but it seems like it's in there for good.

Any help would (as usual) be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It can be removed, that is why there is storage space for it specifically under the V-berth cushion. Common problem with FW tables. My suggestion:

Take the table top off the post first. Then just wiggle the post back and forth until it works loose from the floor receptacle. If you can't get the table top off, or the leg. Use a strap wrench on each part of the table leg to loosen it.

We haven't tried it yet. Hopefully, we will get out this weekend and "tidy" up a bit -- way too much company in Florida this time of the year!

Got the table out yesterday. We had to use one of those strap wrenches, and it was in there pretty tight.

But, it looks so much bigger now! We can actually seat 2 or 3 on the couch with comfort (before their knees would hit the table leg).

Glad it worked out. We had the same problem with our 268 when we bought it. It was really wedged in there. The strap wrench did the trick for us too.

It gets stuck all the time on our 348. The key is leaving the table attached and rocking the post. A couple of good nudges in different directions will work it loose. Then once you've gotten it loose from the floor socket you can remove the top, the post and put them under the front v-berth bed. I tend to use the table leg to prop up the bed. The pneumatic strut doesn't seem to have enough oomph to keep it up by itself.
