As I have mentioned in previous posts, I am looking to move up to a 248 or 258 Vista. If anyone has one that they would like to sell without a broker, I am definately interested. It must have a trailer, and be a 2001 or newer.

This is the best deal IMO.

wow!!! but prices for used FW in the USA are really low!!! I have sen one of above mentioned links and for 248 year 2001 only 36000 US$??!!, in Italy it would not be less than 45000 euros, that means roughly 54000US$...I cant believe...

Also try this site. I will be in the market for a 268 Vista shortly, but I am having a problem finding one in the Pacific Northwest.

Good luck,
Rod

I've allready found mine and closed on it. Now spring just needs to get here. I think we got 14" of snow today and are currently under a blizzard warning.

Looks great. I was noticing the placement of the antennas. I have never seen them arranged that way before. Typically, the VHF is where your GPS is. Not that it's bad or anything, but just different. Thanks for the compliments. I can't wait to get her out for real. OH SO MUCH WORK TO DO BEFORE SHE'S READY!!

Woggy,

thanks for pointing that out. Haven't seen too many of these in person, and of the ones I've seen only one other had both the radio and gps. I can't recall the placement on that one at the moment.. So what all do you need to do to get it ready? Just the fluids and whatnot?

Wow, where do I begin. First off, I need to polish and wax the whole thing, get registration letters and name on it, waterproof all the canvas, clean the carpets, dewinterize it (flush out antifreeze from the water system), reinstall my old boats GPS, and stereo (amp, sub, polk audio speakers, and XM Radio) add my fuel flow meter, polish all stainless steel, replace the impellar (preventative because it hasn't been done yet), reload the boat with all the required safety stuff, get it inspected by the CG Auxillary (to help prevent unnesecary boardings but the "new and improved" Coast Guard), replace the black rubber bow rollers with polyurethane ones, and fix the bent anchor it came with.

I think that's it for now.........

Yeah.. I'm glad I have a porter cable random orbital now!!! I guess I should probably go ahead and replace the impeller on this one too. Is it a pita to do?

Hey Woggy Nice vista. I remember last year we got our 248. It will one year in 2 weeks. brought her home and sat in the thing almost every day after work. Once we launched a few times, (not much fun) we slipped her and will never go back to trailering again. Good luck this season with the new boat
