I did a few searches and did not want to hijack anyone so I am starting another one similiar to this one: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4771&p=47649&hilit=shower+bilge#p47649 I noticed the breaker for my shower bilge kept tripping so I removed the floor panel and found the pump box, I have read that it contains a screen, could the screen just be plugged that would cause it to trip? g. does it have an internal switch when it turns on? is this a special pump or can I just replace it with a like size pump? ok, sorry for the many questions but Im not done yet, i found a third pump in the aft sleeping quarters. This is a larger pump. I moved the float around and it also is not working. I plan on replacing this one as well but should I be looking for any more pumps? I do not have A/C. This would make three pumps including my main bilge pump below the engines. Sorry again for the questions but Im not too familiar with all of the FW hiding spots. |

The shower sump includes a standard bilge pump from vendors such as Rule and Attwood. Any pump of same size and fit will work. Bilge pump floats are known to fail that is why you should test on a routine bases (as with any safety related equipment). My 2002 298 has three pumps: 1 pump in the floor just outside the shower door - it is the shower pump 1 pump in the aft cabin floor - this is for pumping anything forward of the engine compartment 1 pump in the engine bay The pumps should all have a constant 12V supply to them. I hop this helps you. Feel free to ask any questions ... |
