| Post subject: | Squeal noise when put in drive |
Owner of 2002 vista 248...upgraded last year. New to boating and hear a squeal noise when start in drive. Is this belt or some sort of bearing noise. Any advice is greatly appreciated! |

First of all check the belts are at the correct tension, if they are and it still squeeks spray a small amount of water on the belt if it stops squeeking it shows it's the belt. It will need replacing, in my experience there is no long term cure for a squeeking belt. |

You could also try a crayon on the belt sounds crazy but it works. I am sure a tea lite candle would work too. My belt was sqeaking and after this it stopped |
