As an educated "guess" how much does it cost annually to own and operate your boats, thinking of moving up soon. Thanks Nick |

It probably varies based on local shop rates, etc. You will use a slip for a 298. Here in Scottsboro, Alabama a 36' slip runs me $2,100 per year. Winterization, dewinterization, drive lubes, oil changes, generator tuneups, new anodes run me about $1,600 per year with haulout. Add around $200 for new impellors every other year and $2,000 for new bottom paint every 5 or six years. My 1999 has cost me an extra $150 most seasons for one reason or another in getting the genny running smoothly. I burn around 18 gph cruising around 24 mph @ $3.39 per gallon right now. All in all, well within my budget. Good luck. We moved up from a 1992 Sea Ray 270 5 years ago and love our nicer, larger cruiser! |
