Help...
I have rainwater leak on the starboard side of the mid cabin on a 2003 248 Vista. My boat is on a mooring and with the bimini folded it channels the water down through the mooring cover.
Here is what I did so far: I removed the vinyl padding on the starboard side and closed up the access ports, removed and bedded the cubbys under the helm seats and removed and bedded the captains seat. All to no avail.
Any ideas???

You're sure this leak is coming from the exterior? That is, are you sure your water lines aren't leaking? Do you keep your system pressurized?

I am sure that it is not the H20 system, as it is only when it rains or washing. But, I think that I found it. I took off the small headliner access panel in the mid-cabin and looked all over. I know that it leaked around the cubbies and from the seat bracket, because when I washed the cockpit it leaked. As I kept trying to find it, I ran the water on the outside of the starboard winshield. Bingo, there is a hole under the foam strip under the metal glass frame (maybe a mis-drill from the factory?). A brief hosing caused it to drip to for over a 1/2 hour until the foam dried enough. Since I don't know how to remove the windshield and fix it permanently, I pried up the foam and sqirted a little Phenoseal under it. We had a huge storm and it was dry the next day, for the 1st time since I have owned it. I am crossing my fingers that it is solved for good.
