My 268 has this....

but after seeing that '07 278 thats for sale it made me look at the FW parts site. 268's my year with generators were supposed to have this....

I'm guessing to help with water flow while on plane. My genset doesn't loose water, but the AC will if I don't keep the trim tabs all the way down.

How hard would it be to change these out? I'm thinking they might have used 5200 when they installed the thru-hull at the factory, so it might be more trouble than its worth!

You do not have to change the thru hull. They do make a cover that goes over it if you need. I was hunting around trying to find one to post, but can not find one quickly. They are available as I did install one on my 248

How did you install it?

I assume it comes with a ring you mount permanently and then you can take off the scoop strainer to clean as needed?

Do you remember what size you purchased?

I cant remeber the size i bought off hand. Just screw the mount to the hull and then the strainer to the mout
