I posted last year about engine stalling (port engine only) both at idle and at 3800 rpms. When at idle and the problem occurs, the engine shuts down. When it happens at cruising speed, the alarm sounds, the revs drop substantially, raw gas is pushed through the exhaust with accompanying odor but engine does not shut down

Went through the repair process with new fuel components only to have same problem occur yesterday.

Went to the shop today - the mechanic advised me the repair steps taken were the "basics." So I asked what the "enhanced" steps would be. Apparently the next item to look at is the fuel rail.

Boat will be water tested on Wednesday by the technicians. Their hope is the problem will replicate during the test.

Anybody having similar problems?

Engines are Mercruisers 6.2 MFI.

Well raw gas going thru the exhaust suggests an ignition sys issue or feul injectors sticking open...
