On day 2 of a 16 day lake michigan trip and our ac fresh water pump burned out. It has a Taylor Made pml250 pump. My question is will any 115volt 250gph pump work? There are some west marine stores along our route where maybe I could order one and pick it up alongthe way. We are currently in Whitehall and heading north today to either pentwater or Manistee. Any ideas? Thank you

Don't see why not. I think mine may be a different make. I'm on the boat. Call my cell and I can check mine. Should be available at any well equipped marina.

Sorry Bliss misread the post but understand firecadet got you headed in the right direction. Hope the remainder of your journey is without further incident. We're anxious to hear all about it when you get back.

We tried to head north today to at least Pentwater and found the lake to be too rough with 3-5 ft waves and a very strong north wind. So since we are still in whitelake we are going to try Hall's marine in Muskegon in the morning. West marine has a pump that seems like it would work but they are out of stock

Hall's will take care of you. Good people there. If you need me to help, give me a call. I could run the
pump up to Whitehall after work if that is not too late. Lake Michigan should be much nicer tomorrow
than it was today. Some say a day like today on Lake Michigan separates the men from the boys, This
boy stayed off the lake today.

Haha! Honestly today was the most scared I have ever been while boating! Lake Michigan was extremely rough, but the entrance back into White Lake after we turned around was terrifying! I had to stay heavy on the throttle just to keep from getting slammed into the wall. We even saw sail boats turning around mid channel...what the hell was I thinking

Thank you very much for your offer, it's good to have that as an option if we need it. If Hall's Doesn't have it I might try to pick up a replacement at West Marine in Traverse City, that I'm hoping would also work.

If we have to get it from WM I think we will just rent a car to pick it in our next stop Frankfort and drive to Traverse City. After Frankfort it's on to Beaver Island for a couple day's where there's not much in the way of part's supliers.

Thank you again, and thanks for getting us the slip yesterday to see the tall ships!

You are welcome for the slip. I hope you got a chance to tour the tall ships. The big lake was nasty yesterday, even the NOAA broadcast on the VHF said "small craft advisories, waves 3 to 5 feet and building, take a rest today", first time I had heard that before. I know what you mean about White Lake channel. It can be a handful on certain days. I wish we had more time to chat about boating, but we had a full slate of activities planned for Saturday, like we seem to every weekend. Nice meeting you and your wife too.

If Hall's does not work out, you could even call ahead to Action Water Sports in TC. They are also a Four Winns dealer, and if they do not have it in stock, might be able to order it and have it shipped to arrive before you get there.

Hi Ben,

Sorry to hear about the difficult start to your trip. Its great to hear all of the helpful FW owners on that side of the lake.

Hope things get worked out soon. All the lake reports this weekend sound like its quite rough.

Be safe and happy trails. Enjoy your trip.
