This may be an easy one. But where do you check and fill the Engine trim oil? Not the trim tab oil. Unless thats the same source of hydraulic oil. 2005 268 Vista (Volvo Penta 5.7 GXI XDP Duo Prop) |

OK, now that you've been properly scolded ....... The trim pump and fluid reservoir, on the 268 with Volvo power, is mounted to the transom wall (well, actually, the false transom wall, but it is the rear wall in the engine compartment), on the port side, up high. You must remove the rear engine cover (a few phillips head screws secure the cover to the floor), to access the unit. Which reminds me ........ the engine access on these models is, well ... ummm ... well, it's STUPID! |

M3eater wrote: OK, now that you've been properly scolded ....... No scolding, just a question as he had an opportunity to learn/check/fill here it sounds like to me. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3923&p=38890#p38890 |
