I made a rookie mistake today and pulled my boat out of the water with the trim 3/4 down. I made it up the launch pad and around the corner when I heard the noise. It dragged for about 4-5 feet then stopped- at about 5-10 mph around a corner. No visable damage. Is it possible that I damaged it internally? The bottom of the trim is not scrapped too bad. :(

I doubt seriously you damaged it internally. I'm assuming that by bottom of the trim you mean the skeg. If you scrapped up the skeg, no real biggie, many do it via a grounding or a submerged object. They even make bolt on replacement skegs and skeg guards because they seem to be a fav contact point.

Get a can of silver Volvo outdrive paint, sand the sight and give it a touch up. Chances are it won't be teh last time you "scratch" the skeg. Then enjoy your boat!

Thanks for the post. I'm glad to know it isn't serious!
