As I get ready to haul out for the season, I wanted to recap my projects for this year with some pictures:

I upgraded the GPS with a Garmin GPSMap 5208 with radar. The touchscreen is awesome!

I also installed some led puck style lights on the arch (I2Systems Tri-lites):

My last project was to upgrade the Kettle grill with a Newport Infrared model

Potential projects on the short list for next year include A/C and tv/dvd combo installations along with some speaker upgrades.

Nice upgrades! I really like the way those lights look. I bought the Hella slim lines, but the light was just too intense(bright white), so I didn't install them. How's the light output on those...is it a warm light or the bright intense type of white?

Same issue as far as brighness for us too. It was like being in a tanning bed ! I just changed out the bulbs for some Blue LED festoon bulbs. It's not near as bright and the calm blue light looks good too. The bulbs were a cheap fix/upgrade.

The lights give off a warm white which is what I was looking for. The model I chose was the tri-light by I2Systems. They are connected to a matching toggle switch at the helm which allows me to toggle 3 different colors: warm white, red and blue.

Wow! I like that Garmin unit.

The previous owner had replaced the arch lights in the Chap with LED units. I like them, they're bright but not overly so. They kind of have a bluish hue to them and light up the cockpit nicely. I think they have five LED's in each pod.

Very nice Garmin!

I'm thinking of getting a chartplotter and mounting it in the same location.

Very nice upgrades. I'd love to do radar but it's not in budget right now. I'm also looking at those same or similiar lights...tri-color LEDs. Those will probably go in during the spring clean-up. Lastly, interesting placement of the grill (and nice grill...that's the deluxe model). I never would have thought to use that location. I mounted mine dead center on the back edge of the platform. Do you like the pedestal mount? We love ours and use it every chance we get. There's no burger like a boat burger!

I really like the pedestal mount as it allows for quick & easy installation and removal of the grill. Having the mount under the swim platform ladder also keeps a clean look on the platform when the grill is not in use. The tri-lites were a good choice since you have color options for lighting on the hook as well as when under way. The I2systems units are very nice although somewhat pricey. I plan to add another set on the camper top for added light.
