I hear some people fog their Fuel injected engines and others do not. Mine is a VP 5.0 GXI throttle body. What are you guys doing? Any problems when you start it up in the spring?

Thanks

Here is the most recent discussion on this topic. I use to fog but have not the last 2 years. They say if the engine is only sitting for 6 months then rust build up is not really an issue. If you really want to fog the engine there is a mixture you can make for an EFI engine and it is in the post below.

My belief is if a motor is going to sit for more than 1 month, then the motor should be fogged.

A throttle body injected motor is not a true EFI, its just 1 injector in the throttle body, just an upgrade from a carb, so I treat it the same as a carbed motor and fog it, but that's just me.

Really do what makes you feel good about off season storage, if extra work makes you feel better, then do it, if your comfortable with storing motor with oil film from normal operation...... :|

We do not recommend fogging unless it is going to sit for extended periods. Factories do not fog and boats sometimes sit on dealer lots for 2 years or so...no problems.
