I have a question concerning the position of the battery selector. My Vista won't start unless the selector is in the "Parallel" position, after I start it, I switch it over to the "On" position. Is this correct, or should I be able to start it in the "On" position as well?

Thanks for any help you can provide. I browse the forum all the time, I used the insight from you guys to install some LED's from Oznium and the install went perfect.

Thanks.

The boat should always start on either position 1 or position 2. Only use the All/Parallel mode when a single battery is not capable of starting the engine.
Read the manual..........

Do you happen to know what might be keeping it from starting in the "on" position. I put two new batteries in today, thinking this would solve the problem but it hasn't. Any help is much appreciated.

Bad selector switch?

You'll have to test the outputs.

Bad battery, or maybe a bad isolator.

Hello to all!!

I am new on this forum but I have 12 yrs of boating behind me.

As to the problem of not starting. You should first use a voltmeter and start at the battery and work your way back to the switch. This should pin piont were the problem is. Remember, clean all connectors and check for rust build up. A cable could be so bad that you will read 12V at both ends BUT can NOT carry a large load as in starting the engine.

Good Luck
Paul
