Since the instrument lights in the Faria gauges seems to burn from time to time, any of you replaced the bulbs with LED...I am mostly concern by the brightness they may have, since there is no dimmer for the instruments lighting...I am professional mariner and I can tell you that one of the things crews of any big ship do at night, is to dim the lights so you have the best night vision you can...I have sent an e-mail to Four Winns in the past about fitting dimmer on their boats... |

Hi Last year I replaced mine with: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/ ... LED-x4.htm Use the 4 or the 6 led bulb. Not the 5, because how it is setup does NOT give off enough light. I went with the 4 led in red & for me was fine. Going from white to red at night was great!!!! Paul |

I replaced mine with the WLED-X in red from superbrightled.com. I think they turned out good. I got the idea from searching this forum, so I bet others will vouch for them as well. Also, Walt added a dimmer to his dash lights. One of the many cool mods that man has completed. Check out his thread "Walt's Mods". http://www.smwebhead.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1653 |
