Newbie here with a question for you 248 owners.
My new boat search has me really Interested in the Vista 248. My only concern is I have a pole barn for storage with a door height of 9'6". Four Winns lists the Height on the trailer for the 248 at 10'. Can anyone confirm the ground to windshield height on the trailer of a 248?

10 feet seems pretty spot on from the ground to the windshield, At least on my set up. I use a pvc system with tarps
for winter storage, saves a bundle on shrink wrapping. Could be an alternative if it doesn't fit?

Darn it! I really like the 248 but was wanting something that would fit in my existing pole barn. Since the boat will probably spend most of the time on the trailer I'd like to keep it indoors. Seriously considering modifying the door. Got some thinking to do before spring.

Is it possible to modify the trailer to get it lower? Maybe a different trailer?

All trailers are different. A roller trailer is usually higher than a bunk trailer.

I just went out and measured to the top of windshield, I get 9' 6". but that is on the starboard corner, I would not think that it is much different towards the center. If you only need to squeeze an inch or so, air the tires down, back in, air back up. That would be a PITA, but would work until you fix height of door opening.

I used to store our boat indoor heated storage, until I started shrink wrapping our 5th wheel RV. Its cheap, reusable, water/snow proof, ect....

Thanks, I was hoping that maybe letting some air out of the tires would allow it to clear. Guess I'll just have to find my 248 now and give it a try. :D
