Can someone tell me the exact size of the Lewmar hatch on a 1999 Vista 258? I found a deal on a Bomar hatch here in Fl. and wonder if I can use it as a replacement.

Did it separate from the disk, or did it break the molded hinge pin or its socket? If the former, I found it was repairable by disassembling, roughing, cleaning and re-adhering it to the disk with a slow epoxy and clamps. Mine failed because I ignored the binding friction lever, the device that holds the disk open. It became more and more difficult to open, and forcing it eventually separated the disk from the deck hinge.

If a hinge pin broke, you might consider cutting the remnant off cleanly and replacing it with a stainless stud, drilled into the hinge where the pin was.

The exact outer diameter of the Lewmar Concept 22 is 577mm, ~22.75", but the hole in the deck, of course, is less.
