The two piece walk through window "hinges" on my 258 recently came off, I went to the dealer and bought two new ones but I must not be installing them correctly because they keep coming out, they are the type that slide together. Is there a trick to the installation or is there a better fix for the window?

I've been compounding the deck today and removed the walk-through window on my '99 258V.

The window hinge on mine is an integral part of the window frame, an aluminum extrusion. The are just two pins between the top and bottom hinge segments that are locked with a black plastic slider; if those sliders are up and the window is closed but unlatched, the window can simply be lifted out. Unless you are describing those black plastic sliders, I don't see a replaceable component. If you haven't solved your problem, let's see a photo of what you're addressing.
