Well my future father-in-law's boat was in need of some speaker upgrades so I just purchased some db651's. With the recommendations I read on here I think I made a good choice. One question I had was whether it was ok that I passed on the slim line model and chose the regular 651's? I want the most bass I can and it seemed like that was a good choice.

My main question I had however was if anyone on this board knows if the 97 or 98 Vista has space for a subwoofer? Its currently in storage and these speakers are a b-day gift so I can't ask him so I thought maybe you guys would know. Thank you!

They made several Vista models in 97-98. Hard to give an answer not knowing what model it is.

Welcome to this weeks' episode of, " Your Guess is as good as mine"

On today's show, we will attempt to determine what model of boat the contestant is asking
questions about. The catch is, the only information you get, is approximate year and brand.

After the break, and your first guesses have been submitted, the next question for you to guess
is, what head unit is being installed in the mystery boat, and what wiring harness available at Wal Mart would
you need to buy to hook it up.

If you are correct, you will win an all expense paid trip to a sausage factory in Wisconsin, and a
one nights stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

Good luck all !!

Ok, I chuckled at that. I considered playing the said game, but the "sausage factory" didn't cut it for me. Substitute "sausage factory" for a scenic cruise on Michael Bova's 328 while staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Wisconsin and I'll take a couple guesses.:)

Mike.

No harness adapter needed. Its a direct install...thoses harness adapters are used in cars so you don't have to cut off the factory radio connector which makes for an easier install, and if you ever want to install your factory radio again it's as simple as plug n play. You will just have to connect pos to pos, neg to neg, left spkr + to left spkr +, ect. Should be very easy. Good luck!
