Does anyone know if the emergency shutdown lanyard (the actual plastic piece on the end) is universal or a Four Winns/VP specific part?

Bought a universal "kit" at West Marine $14.95 and one of the clips fits perfectly.

It's surprising that boats don't come with 2 of them; after all, they come with 2 ignition keys. With only one kill cord, if it does what it's supposed to and the driver is in the water with the cord still attached, the people left on the boat can't start the engine and come to pick him up, unless there's a second cord on board.
