Does anyone know if a Jabsco marine toilet will fit in a 248 Vista head?

I may not understand your question ... but the toilet in my head is a Jabsco. Put it in myself. Is there a particular model you're talking about?

I put this one in:

http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/st ... sNum=10688

I thought the stock toilet in a 248 was a Jabsco. But never had a 248 so I can't confirm it. But the toilet in our 2000 268 Vista was a Jabsco.......

On the Jabsco it is reversible. In the box mine was configured for left (if you're sitting on the toilet). I flipped it to right.

My 248 came stock with Jabsco. My hand pump started malfunctioning / leaking. I went to get a rebuild kit, which was $69. At the time, West Marine had the whole toilet on sale for $99. So, I just replaced the whole thing.

yea, I guess mine is RH if you are sitting on it, not LH like I said. I wasnt sure on proper RH/LH toilet pump identification lol.

I found a new pump om eBay for 40.00, I thought the rebuild kit price was pretty silly. I was just going to buy a whole new toilet as well until I ran across the cheap pump.

My toilet (and base) had cracks. Just picked it up during the fall and the previous owner had towels on the floor. Really old guy who couldn't get in there to fix/replace it. No worries...gotter done.
