Went by Cottonwood Creek today looking at slips. Your boats look great. Dock is nice and clean.

Supposedly, 50' slips going in this winter. If that is the case, I will see you next year for sure.

Too bad I missed you. They do a very good job of keeping it clean and nice. Txvista and I spent the night on Saturday....up till 2:30 drinking and relaxing. Maybe you can join us sometime.

Ah. Probably didn't miss you by much. We were there at noon. Exactly 35 minutes from my house. That new bridge is something. Wow. My current marina is only 5 minutes away ... but for the same money, CC is cleaner, newer and nicer. I talked with the marina manager at length about my concerns. You're right ... she is hell on wheels. Surely don't want to piss her off. If she can follow her rules, so can I.

The event that sparked this trip? Besides jacking with my lines ... my marina finally got around to painting. Gray oil based paint embedded into my non-skid surface on my swim platform. I spent 3 hours Saturday with a toothbrush and turpentine.

I'm done.

Thought about it ... but I can't get out of my lease. My marina is only about 75% occupied (no surprise there) ... and there is no way they will let me out. I am paid up for the year.

I could lump it and take the loss ... but I think that would piss me off more than staying. :-) Now that the painting is finished, I'm hoping the nonsense will subside.

Earliest I will be able to make the move, without losing money, is April 1, 2012.

Yeah, I wouldnt take that much loss either....you gotta make it work for now. FYI, the marina rates go up at Cottonwood (very small amount) every April 1st...so if you are going to move, get under contract with Cottonwood during the month of March. It usually goes up about 10.00/month.

The manager mentioned that.

I think we're going to trailer my boat to Lewisville one weekend this summer. My wife wants to cruise the lake before making the big jump.

I'll let you know when we do. Maybe we can meet up for drinks and fattening food. :-)

Let us know whenever you want to come over. It really isn't a long drive with the bridge now. I make that drive everyday.
