My wife and kids surprised me with a fathers day cake on the boat today. It was a really nice break from cleaning. ![]() |

Hey Steve, it was a fun weekend even though we never left out dock. I had my notes from you on how to get some things done and did pretty well I think. The air conditioner worked great. Seems like I still had some air in the hot water tank though. Water would come out "bubbly" at first, then it would subside. Any recommendations? I had some windlass issues the other week and need to post some pics and questions in the appropriate area soon. I started cleaning the chrome around the gauges, and only completed about a third when it started to thunder. Had to quickly cover up the boat, do a quick vacuuming of cake crumbs, and get out of there. I have a few pics of the new carpet, but when trying to post them, the site says they're to large in size. I don't know why when all of my pics have been done with the same iPhone. I'll have to get online and try resizing. Edit: I figured out the Photobucket settings |

Haha...thats great! I was at the slip for a few hours yesterday myself. I ran rope lights under the sides of my slip. I might run down tonight to see how they look at night. What were you using to clean your chrome gauge bezels? This is something I need to do also. |

You know you'll need to post pics if you hit the boat dock tonight! I used some 3M Marine metal restorer and polish on the gauges I got at West Marine. I was pleased but I need a toothbrush to save my fingers next week. I'll try to get some before and after pics up next week. ![]() |

These aren't near as bright ad the LED rope lights that txvista has in his slip, but they will work for now I guess. ![]() |

Here's the side-by-side of the chrome gauges. Finished this up Saturday since it was too windy for me to go out. ![]() |

Wow! Huge difference, and something I need to look at doing for sure. That looks great! |
