I am wondering if someone can give me some good advice for a good prop. It does not have to be stainless steel, it can be aluminum, since I run the boat in Chesapeake Bay.
We just repowered our 1997 238 Vista with a 5.7 350 carb engine. It is has the SX drive with a 4 blade prop, it seems to be only able to get to 22 mph at 3500 rpm. I see in the specs, I should be at 28-30mph at 3500.
This 4 blade prop is aluminum with not much pitch. Can someone suggest a good prop with a good pitch for top end speed?
thanks

Have a look at solas.com and you'll see a prop finer index on the left.
