As a follow up to Flyer51, here are a few shots from our perspective. It was a fabulous weekend with new friends.
It started as a 10 hour trip up the Illinois River/Cal Sag with 5 Locks
A nice evening getting to know everyone and finally a trip out in the lake. Thanks to Firecadet for driving.
What a beautiful skyline and the water was outstanding
A stroll down the Chicago River
Including locking thru for the first time for some of us.
The next day it was the Gary Air Show
What a great perspective as they fly over head!
Then off to Boater Beach. It's like a Spa. Thanks to Bliss for the tip.
Finally, a Beautiful Sunrise and an early start back down river. Made it back in 11.25 hours.
Hammond is a very nice marina. I'm sure we will be back.
Finally, met a "Looper" along the way doing the trip in a pontoon. Best wishes to "Ranchhouse"
