One of the undercounter lights in my galley is missing. The wiring harness is there and you can see the screw holes where it was previously mounted...but the light is missing. I have searched high and low on the net and it appears that the Four Winns manual now references a different model/part number as the replacement. I really want to get an identical unit so they match. Anybody have any ideas?

One thing I need to check/verify...I cannot remember if these run on 12V or if they are 120V lights.

TXVISTA replaced his overhead lights, which are much larger than the area I am working in.

I replaced ours with Leds, I think I still have it. It's yours if you want it.

Why do you need to rake that up? The guy just asked a simple question. Please don't let this forum fall the way others have. :x

I liked TXVista's idea and replaced everything. Found some G4 plug ins for the flush ceiling and arch lights, went with oznium flex strip for under the counter in the galley. 2 yrs ago I put 8 oznium blue high intensity floods under the swim platform and I think it looks great. It's hard to justify replacing light bulbs before they burn out with more expensive leds, but for an entire weekend on the hook every bit of power adds up. I guess I HAVE to go check on the boat and take some pics. Well, I probably should call some of the boys on the dock and suggest they check on their boats also. You know, come to think of it I better pick up some beer and confirm that the fridge is ok.

They are just 12 inch lights, right? I think I still have mine (minus the pigtail). I have to look in my dock box this week, I may head out there tomorrow. The only lights I did not replace were the undercabinet light. Mainly, cause I never use it since I didn't even know it was there. I wanted to get all the fluorescents out. How many fluorescent fixtures do you have on your boat?

Actually, the LED strips I replaced them with were probably close to the same length and width as the optilux.

I believe they are 12 inch...could be slightly smaller. There are two (supposed to be three) in the boat. Two under the cabinets and one behind the mirror in the V Berth.

Lakebum...you accidentally answered my question about the small overhead light bulbs. I want to change them to led also, but wasn't certain if they were G4 bulbs or not.

Kent...I need to come see your boat again for some ideas. I'm off Wednesday and plan to spend most of the day up at the boat.

I probably have the same exact ones then. I'm actually headed out of town for work on Wednesday, and will be back Thursday afternoon. Shoot me an email, and we can plan a time. It is suppose to be cold and wet this weekend, but I'm sure I will go up on Sat or Sunday also.

If anyone is interested, they are a G4 base. Here are the ones I put in mine.

Sorry about the delay, but I did find my lights if you still need them there yours. I've got 3 of them. One has a small crack in the cover.

aguyindallas,

Did you ever find where to buy the fluorescent light fixtures for your 298V? My 12" two bulb Optilux above the v-berth mirror died so I need a new one and I don't feel like paying $60 thru the dealer. Thanks.
