Has anyone with a 318 tried removing the mirror in the forward berth? I heard there is a hatch to the anchor rode there. I gave a tug but it seem fixed. Is it there if I give as good tug? Is it just velcroed well?

Shaun

it actually just lifts up. there are flat hooks holding it on. It lifts about an inch then comes right off. The only think is mine was stuck to the vinyl so it took a little effort the first time.

If it's like the one in the 348 there might be screws down low. I think ours has one on each side. Remove those and the mirror slides up. IIRC, the screws were low, tucked down below the level of the mattress. Through what might be considered the 'headboard' of the berth frame and then into the mirror frame.

I concur with simon's comment about possibly being stuck to the vinyl. Use a ruler or something else that's flat to skim along behind the mirror to loosen it up (or check if it's tight at all).
