I went with this it has a built in macerator. Kept checking ebay and snagged it for $135

So how is the noise with it? How much noise does it make? And for how long after finishing your business does it run (for #1 vs #2). I'm concerned about the noise and whether it's bothersome enough to wake everyone up if used at night.

The noise is moderate and short lived. My wife will sotmetimes use it late at night and the kids don't wake up. Just sounds like a motor dicing up your business.

So is this a complete removal of the existing toilet and vacuum equipment or a disconnect and installation of the electric device?
