This winter I would love to upgrade from my 2000 H180 to a late 90's 238 Vista. What is a good price for a 238V with A/C (if they came with AC)?

A/C is an option in the 238.

A good price varies greatly by location...... $13 to $15k w/trailer, would be a good deal..... That is if its in great shape. I base that on what I have seen in my location/area.
I still see some wanting $29k for there 238 w/o A/C

Think yourself lucky your in the US, I sold my 1998 238 Vista a few weeks ago $30K no A/C no trailer. Buyers were almost queueing up. But this is rip off Britain.

I'm seen em with no AC in the 11-13k range. Would really like A/C here in FL. I'll be ready to buy in the winter so I got time and prices should fall

Since your in FL and most boat do not have A/C. Find your boat of your dreams and if it does not have A/C, have it installed.

Mermaid air is down there in Florida somewhere, this is the brand I would put in my boat.

I was looking to put there small unit in our last boat, 245 sundowner.

A/C install is not that difficult should you choose to DIY, or I am sure there are many options to have it done.
Good luck with your search for a new toy.....

I paid $16,000 last April for a 238 with no generator or AC. Seller paid close to $1,500 in repairs before I agreed to the deal and I had an EXCELLENT summer with the boat. I'm sure I could have gotten something cheaper but I'm not unhappy with the purchase.

I found what looks to be a nice one for $12k near Tampa. Camper top, trailer, and all (no ac/gen).

Might go check it out this weekend. My father deals with sailboats all the time, he can get a used good mermaid air system for around $800
