Just wondering if anyone has upgraded the analog gauges to Smart Craft? Got a beep when starting the port engine but of course have no idea what it means. My mechanic is recommending upgrading my tachometers with a smart craft tach that would also display engine/alarm info. Just wondering if anyone else has made this upgrade? It sounds easy since the smart craft CPUs live right behind the Chart Plotter. I don't like the idea of cutting in the whole Vessel View display. The only place this fits is not convenient for viewing IMO. |

Sounds interresting and a lot of $$$. The New England Boat is coming in a few months. I know Merc will be there, I good question for me to ask them. |

Sorry to take so long to reply. I had my dealer install an SC1000 System display and a System monitor as part of the purchase of my 2008 H210SS. I have since installed a MercMonitor in place of the system monitor. There are several versions of the MercMonitor. I had to have the one with Smarttow. I had thought of a Vessel View but the dash is not quite big enough. I have not had to use it to look at error codes (yet). I don't know if I would spend the extra for the MM again. Lots of info but not user friendly. I love gadgets. Greg |
