Post subject:  broke starboard drain plug :(

As part of my winterization process it seems i need to give myself a extra project for the spring. After I drained the water out of the manifolds, engine block, water pump, etc. I was putting the plugs back in and when I got to the starboard engine block drain plug I guess I tighten it too tight and it broke off. I can't seem to find a part number or even a picture of it. I looked on the VP site and marinepartsexpress, etc. Does anyone know where I can find the part number and diagram of the part?

Thanks in advance,

Scott

Not sure what yours look like but mine are all plugs with 9/16" heads on them. I think it's 3/8" mpt.

Its nothing special, every hardware store on the planet will have one, just bring the one out of the other side to match it up, its NPT pipe thread.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the drain plug that broke...It was the part that I was screwing the plug into that broke. I am still searching through Google for the part and a part number of the entire section.

I believe you are talking about item # 6 below, it is PN 3850490
If it has a hose attached to it that goes to your hot water tank then this is it

Partycove2 -- Thanks... The drain plug on the other side of the water heater. Do you happen to know the part number for #11 in the diagram, that is the part the broke. Thanks for your help.
