I had a brain storm idea... The Norcold fridges used in FW Boats do not come with the decorative front pannel, FW has to buy that seperately. Well anyway I was thinking my boat has the black front pannel, why not get a piece of the Cherry Laminate to put in there instead! I think that would look fantastic and would break up all the black down there.

Do you think FW would sell a piece or point me to the manufacturer of the laminate?

That's a great idea. They probably won't sell to you directly, but may tell you their supplier. It's worth a phone call.

Brett, let us know man. I got stuck with white laminate and it looks cheap next to the cherry laminate for the cabinetry. I was thinking of doing this as a winter project.

I will have to give FW a ring and see if they can either hook me up, or hook me up with the supplier.

It should be easy to work with and the result I think would look classy.

Heh, I saw the name of the cabinet makers when I was installing some audio and network gear last summer. There was a sticker with their name up inside the rear of the cabinetry just next to the cabin steps. I'm hoping not to twist myself into a pretzel again going back in there.

You might also consider taking a door off and going to a local cabinetry or woodworking supply place. It'd no doubt be less expensive than getting it from a marine supplier. Or ask the fridge maker if they have one that's 'close enough'.

On the bottom of my V-Berth table is the wood maker's name burned in. I can't remember the name of it now, but they're in Cadillac as well. I'll write it down next time I'm at the boat.

Shan,

I have it on the underside of my table as well. But I don't beleive the people who made the table are the same who made the cabinetry.
