Well, it has been a while since I visited my favorite boating site. Got the marina bill last week, and got me energized to say hello to all my fellow iFW forum members! I hope that that your winter was good, and hope that summer comes quickly. Talk with you all soon.

I was ready to put my boat back in the water, until today. In one week we went from sunny and nearly fifty degrees to a North wind 20 mph, two inches of fresh snow and a wind chill of 0 degrees. We should be over the hump, but we are way behind for total accumulation of snow. There could be some serious winter weather ahead. All that I can do is go to the boat show for my boating fix. Dan

Yeah, the weather has been scarily mild. We had a few 65 degree days in January. I think we've gotten a total of 1 inch of snow since Winter began. Contrast this with last year when we received a few feet.

We just had another 50 degree day today, but it's supposed to drop down into the low thirties tonight. I'm kind of holding my breath hoping we can make it through the remainder of the season with no, or very little, snow.

We are at 31.8 inches here in Syracuse. Its record low snowfall for us...and I am not really complaining. The temps have been well above normal for us, 40s and even a few 50s. A small reminder this weekend as temps in the 20s and a light coating of snow expected but then back into the 40s next week. LOVING IT. If this trend continues we will have people wanting their boats in the water toward the end of march...last year the first boat hit the water in May.

We're having a crappy weekend here in Orlando.

Tomorrow 71 and 30mph wind/rain (cold front)
Sunday high of 57.

This is the worst weekend of 2012. Since the ring of the new year it's been upper 70's, low 80's every weekend, summer has officially started. Over at the Harbor (a college apartment across the lake) there's been 30+ people out BBQing, playing volleyball, bikini's everywhere. I don't know what I'm going to do, the plan is always boat/bbq/babes.

I gotta say that there is somthing special about winter. The air just freshens up and the yard looks special with that blanket of white. Snowmobiling wouldn't be the same without it. Who doesn't love a chick in a snowmobile suit! I look forward to snowblowing my driveway and seeing how far I can make the snow fly. Another personal favorite is sitting in the hot tub with my favorite adult beverage and then jumping into a snow bank. That gets your blood flowing! Grilling out on the deck in snow, it is just special and the food tastes better. You know... I love winter! Dan

That beer can chicken sure looks good. Is that a Webber grill?

Sweet Jesus. It's noon and 43 degrees out. The world must be ending... it should be our normal of 75 right now.

Joe,
It is a Webber grill and it is the best grill I have owned. The heat is very even with no hot spots. When it dies I will replace it with another. The beer can chicken tastes as good as it looks. Thanks for noticing, Dan

It's the 3rd of March and still no snow. Woo-hoo! It's going to be another 60 degree day today, and that's saying something for New Jersey. The next 10 days look good also, with a few days projected to reach 65.

This has been one of the strangest Winters in years. No snow, and very, very mild, almost Springlike for most of December thru February...but I'm not complaining. :D

Of course all this does is make me itch to get my boat in the water all the more.

Strange winter indeed. Looking forward to starting the season sometime in April! I think here in Northern VA we managed to get just a dusting of snow once or twice this year. Unbelievable!

Dallas has been very nice this year. A couple days in the 70's and a couple even in the 80's. Today its the 60's...but tomorrow is going to be 70's. I have been working like a dog and I WAY overdue for a trip across the lake....hoping I can make it happen tomorrow!
