We brought our 358V carpets home with us when we stored the boat this year. We're planning to get some new ones made. After only three seasons, some of the outside ones are matted where we walk and losing the black backing. We never really like the color of the inside ones, too light.

Anyone have suggestion on brands or colors? Picture would be great. It's 2008 with blue interior colors and the blue and white exterior.

We got the factory teak carpet from Four Winns for the 318 and we love it...

However, it does still have that 'black' backing. Although, we aren't having that wear and tear issue.

While I only had the swim platform done, I was very pleased with the job Corinthian Marine Carpet did and their backing system - they call it 'Aqualoc' - is very durable. I'm guessing it would do very well over time. it is also weighty enough that you could get away without adding snaps, something I always enjoyed about the cockpit carpet on the Four Winns.

I really like their teak pattern and it is back on their site so perhaps they are stocking it again.

Its great and easier on the feet. I got the pebble with the white backing that won't degrade or stick.

I had new carpet by Corinthian Carpet. I'm very satisfied with them. Customer service was excellent. Used there pattern kit to make patterns from my factory carpet. Get some of there samples and check them out.

Definitely use the pattern kit because when I had my swim platform carpet on my old boat replaced, I just gave the supplier (not Corinthian) the old carpet and it must have shrank because the new carpet was too small when I received it.

Also consider that some things on deck can move. Mainly, the port side lounger and the lower edge of the helm. Ours has shifted a little. Enough that the carpet butts up a little tight in the helm area. I'd use a template over the existing carpets. I keep meaning to get around to making a template for ours...

I also need to replace the ones in our 348. The backing is utterly dry-rotted. I'd like to go with the lined teak/holly style. But I'd want to make sure the lines are consistent. Is anyone with this carpet making them for the 348/358? As in, save me from making a template?

I like the colors and textures Firecadet shows. I think the teak looks goos as well but I don't think the wife likes it. I really want the "new" backing.

Anyone do the inside carpets?

Do corinthian and snap-in send samples? I met a local women at a small show last year that can do the binding. I was leaning that way.

Corinthian will send you samples. I don't know if Nick still works for them, but he took good care of me. I don't have his email address handy but he is user 'Corinthian' here on the forum. If you have trouble tracking him down let me know and I'll look up his info when I have access.

Here's a shot at the back of their carpet. As I've mentioned, I was very pleased with it and wouldn't hesitate to order it again.

I ordered mine last Friday and they were at my door yesterday. My boat is blue and has tan carpets. I went with the Dunes. They have many models saved in their computer so you may get lucky. It's also best to know how many years Four WInns built your model without any changes. They don't necessarily have all those answers. AL

Hi,

I priced both Corinthian and Custom Marine Carpets. They carry the exact same colours, styles and materials. I found Corinthian to be about $300 more expensive.

Hi,
Check out Rochford Supply http://www.rochfordsupply.com They have most of the OEM stuff. When I was a Sea Ray owner I replaced all my cockpit snap in carpet for $150. You will need to find a local binder to do the edging. This was about $75 more. Jeff
