Help!!! Zebra mussels are now infesting Norris lake. How do you protect the stern drive from these things? |

antifouling for aluminum... Primocon primer followed by 2-3 coats of Trilux. Try to brush it on as much as possible, the spray does not work as well but it's the only way to get it in the transom mount. They will also grow in the water intakes, you will have to get a thick piece of wire and make a tool to clean them out. We have the same thing here in salt water with barnacles and other hard fouling. Its a real pain. Figure on pulling the boat mid season to give it a good cleaning because the anti fouling for aluminum does not prevent all growth. |

Anti-fouling paint? Thats what I use to keep verything else off. Non-copper based, as Lou is stating. I used this last year, http://www.ipaint.us/ansp.html I did not have to clean the drive mid-year!! With the Trilux, I did. |
