Hi, I ordered a 2011 V285 about a month ago and I want to install a raymarine E-90W radar package on it but dealer keep telling me it's hard to get hold of someone installing it. Would you please let me know whether E-90W fits V285 dash board? If choose to install the radar by myself, would my boat still be warranted by Four Winns. Thanks |

Personally, if your dealer is not capable of installing a Radar...I would find another dealer. I know thats not a helpful answer, however. Your boat should still remain in warranty, even if you self install the radar so long as you do not tap into any factory installed wiring for power, ground etc. |

Thanks a lot. The dealer say it would cost 6000 dollars to install radar and get boat ready for delivery. I thinkd I'd better do it myself. |

That would be about 3k in labor.....yeah, I would find another dealer. Your initial post made it sound like they were not capable of doing it. Since its all about saving money, I certainly understand. Go for it, and post some pics. |
