Hi Guys , i have a 2007 278 vista and just bought a Honda 2.0 portable generator and would like to ask where to store it during driving. Any ideas , has any one has a portable generator?

Thanks

We store and sometime use on swim deck. Usually have gen set on beach and run cord to boat. This keeps noise and vibration off boat, along with emissions.

I also wired a GFI outlet in back locker and made a short 3foot cord to run from outlet to gen set.

When using on beach, run approx 150' of cord

This EU2000 is the best purchase we have made for camping.

I'm a bit paranoid so I take mine on and off the boat each trip. I set mine on the back seat and then load it onto the boat at the launch ramp. I use mine on the swim platform as well but I don't leave it there if the boat is moving. I'd be concerned about it getting splashed on. I bungee mine onto the long handle on the back of the long seat. It stays put quite well.

When under way we put our Honda 2000 inside the boat. When we are anchored, it sits on the swim platform. It is nice to have when you are on the hook for a day or two.

If you look at my photo closely you will see I added retractable cleats. This is to hold generator in place while underway.
This has worked out very well for us.
I know some would rather place in cockpit, or where cooler goes off to side, we don't pack lite enough to have any room in cockpit, some gear/gas cans go on swim deck and then placed on beach once to camp
