Maybe SeaDek might work? It would have good grip at least.

On the newer style Vista wide body cruisers, the cabin steps look like they are made of a soft wood. While looking through many boats for sale I can see how easily they can get chewed up. My Jack Russell is going to tear these steps up if I don't do something before she gets on the boat. Any suggestions? |

Canvas covers with snaps on the underside. elastic will stretch and someone will slip. |
