Is the pump running when it trips? If so then the pump might be the problem. But if it trips when nothing is running then it could be the breaker is going bad.

Clean the filter first. It could cause the pump to work too hard. Is the pump getting hot?

My breaker started to trip when my pump would reach full prime as well, I grabbed the manual and noted it was to be a 15amp breaker. I figured I would try and switch to another 15amp breaker and see if that was the problem before I changed it.
To my surprise when I pulled the panel the pump was hooked to a 10 amp breaker, so I changed from that source to the 10 amp Over Board Discharge Breaker. The breaker has not tripped since. Now I want to put the proper breaker in but can't get any of the two FourWinns dealers to call me back. Does anyone know if there is anything special about the breaker in our boats.
Not an nice job to change either as this breaker is tied together with a group of another 4 or 5 breakers, they will all need to be removed and taken apart to make it possible to change the one.
Thanks in advance.
