One of my rear windshield mounting screws is stripped out. Looks like it got screwed into a nut of some sort, and it has become one with it. When I turn the screw, that turns as well. I tried some cheap quick set epoxy and of course it didn't stay. The right way to repair would be to remove the screw, fill the hole with marine tex, and redrill and rescrew it in?

I can't get the screw out with that bolt secured to the back...will have to somehow get my dremel in there and cut it off.

Any suggestions?

Port side windshield, where the aft end of the windshield connects to the arch, below the hinge.

Admiral noticed it was a bit loose, and when I went to tighten the screw, it just spun. Appears that the windshield screw goes into a metal part, which it has become one with. I think the best way to fix it is to remove the screw, patch the glass, redrill a hole and I'll be set. Not sure if I can get my dremel in there to cut either the screw head or the base of it off so I can remove it.

I tried to epoxy the hole, but when I turn the screw the nut? that it goes into spins and breaks free from the epoxy.
