One of these would be nicer than a home window airconditioner, just vent it out one of your cabin portholes.
Also no condensate pan to empty.

We have a 238 Vista and we were wondering if anyone has insalled a portable home air conditioner on their boat? If you have how did you do it and has it worked as well as the air conditiones that are made for a boat? Also is this safe to do? Thanks. |

My elderly neighbor is moving to a retirement community and gave us a portable window AC unit from the early 90's. Took it to the boat last weekend and used it both on generator and marina electric. It worked AWESOME! It won't fit in the cabin opening so I set it up next to the drivers seat and "tented" it by draping large swim towels over the top. This kept the cold in and the heat from the unit out. It was a great solution for our Vista 238!! |
