Thanks for the past help here folks, I've got most things now sorted out.

However I'm having trouble getting gas in one of the tanks. I cleaned the vent line out, but still at the pumps we can only trickle the fuel into the tank, any suggestions?

Maybe it's already full.

LOL. jk. But really, can you be a little more descriptive? Like is the tank empty or is it somewhat filled?

Filled would be good! (But sadly it's not) We can get fuel in very slowly and now it's about 1/4 full. I've cleaned out the vent line but maybe the hose between the inlet and the tank is kinked? If so it looks pretty difficult to get at. The boat's a '89 315.

Thanks again, Dave

It's sure sounds like a vent problem. Re-check your vent line for spiders, ect. This happened to me years ago on my Sundowner, the spider was rather large and still alive. Once he crawled out,no more problem. You idea about a kinked line could also be the problem.

For the kinked hose issue maybe you can check this with a water hose. If you can disconnect the fuel hose at the tank side, you can check how easily the water hose is getting through.
And even then you could consider of filling via the water hose just to try.

(if you go on with the last option, you better do not use the hose for drink water anymore :))

Yes check the vents again. It could be pressurized in the tank too. After that It would stick something long, hard, dull, and flexible in there and see if it goes thru to the tank.

LOL. Get your mind out of the gutter.
