Hi all. I'm new to this and am just trying to get a handle on if people are actually buying boats in this economy. I live in North Carolina and I am going to try and sell my Horizon 220. It has the Volvo 5.0 GxiSx and all of the options. It has been dry docked at the local lake and well maintaned since it was purchased new. I think one big draw back to getting it sold will be that I do not have a trailer. I looked at the NADA value and it says about $26,000. To be honest, I'm not really sure what the NADA even is. I havent really seen any 220's for sale but the prices for Horizons close to that size are all over the place. Any Idea's? Again I've just starting out researching so please be patient with me if I'm not posting correctly. One big question I have is, does anyone know if you can transfer your payments to a buyer? I would think that if you could, it might be a better draw to some buyers who might not be able to just pay me off in full. Thanks for all help you might have!

I recently purchased an 08 220SS for around 27 it did come with the trailer but it was total crap so I opted on purchasing a new one and letting the dealer keep their old one for a couple of dollars in return. It came with the bimini, the wakeboard tower with two bazooka speakers and had around 130 hours on the 5.7 300hp when I purchased it. I think you are in the general ballpark of what it is worth. Wish you luck on moving her along to her new owner as for the transfer of payments a friend of mine did that with a vehicle and turns out the new owner paying the monthly stopped paying and it was not good for him. I am sure he didn't do everything correct with the bank and the new owner. Wish you luck on everything going well.

Banks are not going to take a transfer of payment, and you would still be the one with the credit risk if they didn't pay. It is your note, they will need to get their own loan if they go that route.
