I put 4 in as well and they've been great. For that kind of money it's a no brainer.

FYI - looks like NewEgg has them again. Amazon has them also and the price is fluctuating - get 'em while you can.

I just bought four to replace my old stock Sonys.

I just bought a 3rd pair. After thinking about this...I wanted to replace the 4 Sonys...but then realized I want to add another pair in the rear of the cockpit...so I need a total of 3 pairs.

Yep, I just unboxed my first 2 pair. I work late tomorrow so I will probably put mine in tomorrow morning.

After a weekend on the water with these speakers...I am VERY satisfied. I knew they would make a difference, but had no idea how much. Even the admiral was very happy with them. She also thanked me for getting that third pair to cut into my rear bench panel (project not done yet).

Glad to hear it! I installed mine over the weekend, but haven't been on the water with them yet....

Can someone do me a favor and measure the top-mount depth of these?

I bought two pair from Crutchfield along with a new Sony head unit CDX-M60UI. YEs they are Marine certified. Just note they have a very open silver grill and your old Sony white grills will not fit (at least mine did not). They were 59 a pair but it was a few weeks ago.

From NewEgg's page:
Mounting Depth 2-5/16"
Supplied Adaptor Rings enable the db651 to fit both 6-1/2 inch and 6-3/4 inch. The Adaptor Rings reduces the driver's top mount 3/8" to only 1-5/8".

Is that what you're asking for?

Very nice upgrade for 100 bucks. Thanks everyone!!

Edit - the Admiral says I didn't have the base and treble set right. TURN'M UP she says!!!!

So, I had to get four of them. I sure hope it's an improvement on the stockers!

Prices of these seem to be on the rise... except at Crutchfield, they finally dropped them to 49.99. But - no free shipping...

:D Unless!!!

I FINALLY broke down and ordered 3 sets (6 total) from the open-box outlet... $45 each set. I scammed the website into free shipping by spending .79 cents on 1 foot of speaker wire.

For the money... holy smokes... these will suffice nicely and I know they'll fit the arch. 3rd set to be mounted somewhere in the cockpit area.

Can't beat that kind of an upgrade for $135 to my doorstep!

Is anyone NOT happy with their upgrade?
