Well, seems like our priorities are changing. Between our previous 248 and our current 298 we've been hardcore boaters for 10 seasons now, so it's time to move on and enjoy other things. We are putting our 2004 298 Vista up for sale. Our 298 has always been very well maintained and cared for, and it's been a great boat for us over 4 seasons now. It's only been in fresh water, and has stored every winter in heated indoor storage, the previous owner I bought it from did the same. Currently the boat has 365 hours on twin Mercruiser 5.0 MPI's with Bravo3 outdrives. This boat is turn key, in excellent condition throughout and requires nothing. Contact Alan at alan.gobien@sympatico.ca or (705) 427-3600 I'll add links as I put adds in various publications, below are some images and general information: For Sale - 2004 Four Winns 298 Vista – $59,900. While the built-in generator is nice, I don't think it is worth the extra cost or the maintenance issues. If I were buying my 298 again I would prefer to carry a Honda 2000 onboard. |

Thanks, and we obviously agree with you! We have air or heat as needed while docked at a slip. On the hook we never miss it, even when the temps are pushing 90°F the cabin somehow remains quite comfortable. Earlier "acguy" commented about currency exchange. With todays CAD to USD exchange rate, the boat is 57,150.00 USD!! cheers |

Modified the post with a price reduction, and updated the current engine hours to actual as of July. We've had great summer weather here around Georgian Bay. I've put another 20 hours on the boat this season enjoying it. I've had pretty steady interest so far, and everyone who has seen it raves about the condition of it. Problem is they are typically in the process of trying to sell their own older, smaller cruiser! cheers |

Another slight price drop above to reflect additional hours we've put on the boat this season, and it's getting near the time I have to consider storage and year end maintenance costs. I'm not overly worried if it doesn't sell, we're having a really good summer and still really enjoying it. I did get ever so close to selling a few weeks back, but the offer just fell short of what I felt I could accept. I've generally had good steady interest, but just two offers so far. Not many people around with 55K+ to spend just on recreational boating activities these days! cheers |
