I will be listing our cottage for sale with a realtor very soon. It's been in our family since 1955. My reason for selling is that I will be moving to Florida later this year.. It's a 3 season cottage located in East Tawas,Mi. There is 100' of beautiful lake front. The cottage is really a log cabin covered on the outside with T-111. Of special interest to boaters is the new garage that was built in 2000. It's 24' wide by 32' deep with 12'walls. There is a new sea-wall, and a 10' by 100' deck that goes along the width of the property. There are two launch ramps only minutes away. I will be listing it for $239,000.

Very nice. How deep is the water at the dock? How far from ET? North or South? Can you send me some more info?

Dave,
It' located 5 miles north of East Tawas's downtown area. The water level at seawall is around 3' deep with a sandy bottom. The cottage has 700 sq. feet of living space. There are two bedrooms and a single bathroom. It's very rustic as you can see from the photos. It has oak flooring.I have invested over 50k in the last few years for improvements. New garage with driveway, new windows, furnace, seawall and deck. Also an in ground sprinker system with a pump that uses lake water. Please send a PM if you would like more info. I plan on listing it with a realtor next week-end.

Fred

Gosh Fred ......

You brought back memories with the listing of your cottage. My Grandfather (the non-boating one) took me an my cousin camping all around northern MI every summer. East Tawas and Au Sauble area was one of the regular areas, especially when we were pretty young.

My wife and I used to spend our anniversaries at Big Paw resort in Alpena.

Good luck with the sale!

On a side bar, my wife and i have reservations for ET marina in July. is there anywhere out there on the bay I should stay away from? Anywhere I can go anchor and float on a sand bar?

Thank you for the help!
