Why so quick to sell these? Have you sold your boat yet? You're tempting me but I am trying to not sink much more into our boat for obvious reasons!

Good point. I think the the 268 and 278 with the big block use the f6 propset. Do you have your boat picked out?

My gut tells me it will be a 268/278 with a 5.7DP. I'd love a big block, but they are few and far between. 5.7s use a F4, and big blocks a F5

When we were shopping for our 268-V, we noticed that there were really no big blocks around here (and just a couple 320-hp), but in the Great Lakes area there were a few big blocks. The 280-HP DP is fine, but I think we may actually have been able to get better cruise MPG with a big block .... turning lower RPM at any given speed.

And ....... well, shoot ..... It's a BIG BLOCK!

Your right! I got confused. .... All I really need is a spare set; therefore, F5's or F6's would do fine. My boat runs pretty sweet with the current setup. I have only used my boat three times (less than an hour running time) in the past two months! I really need to try harder to sell it. It's currently sitting in the creek slip getting dirtier and dirtier by the day! You should see the layer of fuzz on the bottom! I will need a whole weekend (no boating  ) to get her cleaned up to a moderately acceptable level to show anybody.

Mine is sitting in the driveway collecting dirt too. Only out once this year so far, but it's been nice to have my new son around. It's a good trade off so far...

Dave you will have lots of time to play with your boat once your little boy gets a little older but.... don't hold back from not going with him now. Bundle him up, make sure you have a PFD that fits him properly and away you go! People even take their car seats right on the boat with them so he can sit up and watch what's going on. He'll probably just sleep most of the time anyways.
