I've got one on backorder with another seller, so I might cancel it and order at WM. Gordon, I've seen recurring complaints, or at least concerns, about the strength of the handle and/or how the handle is attached. Do you have any concerns with that (or anything else)? |

Wow $90 ! I just was at West Marine in Kingston, Canada and it's on sale for $115 plus 13% tax. I almost bought one but didn't because I wanted to do a little more research on it and was going to liven up the previous thread.... So those of you that do have one, Was it worth it? Was it a markable improvement over the OEM unit that made it worth changing even if the old jack was still performing flawlessly? |

My 2010 FW trailer came with one on it. Mounting plate is welded to trailer then jack is bolted to plate. It works ok, BUT what I dont like is there is a allen screw that you should be able to loosen and adj. height of jack up or down on bracket. It is in there so tight from factory I could not loosen it. I knew I was going strip it and I did. (So I guess it is staying where it is Ha Ha) It should have a regular hex head bolt in my opinion. I called the makers of the F2 Didnt get to much satisfaction. If your jack is working ok save the $100 bucks! |

We installed this because our 1500-lb fulton standard type was ... umm .... well, broken (leave it at that). Our F2 is working fine and it is sooooo much better than a standard type. Cranking effort is lower and it is very sturdy (our tongue weight is likely over 1000-lbs). I would never suspect any potential problems with the crank, just by having the unit in my hand. Of course, it's only been on for a few weeks. I do recall that one of the member here did have something break on his (at the crank?). Other than that, I have not picked up on any "they all do that" issues, when I was researching before I purchased mine. On the new one, the two height adjustment lock bolts (one Allen, one hex) were not a problem. Just use the proper allen-head bit (and a rachet or breaker bar) and apply pressure squarely and evenly. The weld-on mount plate is available separately from Fulton (does not come with it), so you don't have to make one like I did. I just didn't want to wait to order it, since our jack was currently broken. It is lifetime warrany, but you are not likely to find repair parts at the local shop. ![]() |

About the 20th use, I was about to drop the trailer on my truck and grabbed the handle. I think it was already fully extended and at first I tried to crank (gently) the wrong way. crank did not move so I started the other way. After 2 revolutions something snapped inside and handle slid right out of the unit. Dealer sent me a whole new unit. Maybe I had a lemon?? |

Can that pin be accessed so that it can be replaced? |

I'm going to take mine apart when it arrives and give it a once-over before deciding whether to keep it. I've read numerous stories about that pin shearing, apparently for no good reason, but I haven't heard anything else bad about it (well, people griping about the adjustment screws being too tight, but that sounds more like whining than a legitimate complaint). |

yeah, Mike ..... Maybe it's just a crap pin. Perhaps one could be sourced that is stronger. I guess I'll pop the cap on mine & have a look .... before it breaks. |

I got one of the Fulton big wheel jacks (single big wheel) and it works just fine. |
