My boat is coming off of an unsuccessful 6 month brokerage agreement and I'm going to try and sell it myself passing the commission onto the buyer in the form of a lower price. IMHO, one thing that is hurting that boat, most buyers want an arch on a boat that size. I wish you the best. |

Selling a trailerable cruiser without a trailer, limits the use of the boat. And since that area of Ala. is not typically a cruiser mecca, even more difficult to find the right buyer in state, and especially out of state. Good Luck |

Understandable. There is no radar arch because the dealer ordered it specifically for the area which has several low clearance bridges. It did come with a trailer but we sold it back because it's been wet slipped ever since we bought it. And, my Avalanche can't tow it so it didn't make sense to keep it and store it for no reason when we don't own a vehicle to tow it. It doesn't have a trailer but it does have an upgraded AC unit and bottom paint. But, I understand most people want (or think they want) an arch and trailer. |

Given that your boat is on Lake Gunthersville which has about 69,000 acres (and a lot of bridges), I don't blame you for keeping it slipped year-around and not having an arch. Your market is on that lake (as well as your competition though). Just keep your eyes and ears open. After trying to sell my 406 Carver Motor Yacht for almost almost 2 years, I got lucky and sold it to someone in my yacht club who downsized from a 450 Sea Ray Sundancer. He didn't want something as big or as expensive as my Carver, but after dropping the price (and me writing a check) he couldn't refuse. Smartest thing I did. Good luck. |

Crud, too bad you are so far away from me...that's the same model boat I've had my eye on for a while now. I noticed your boat for sale on this site several months ago but dismissed it as being too far away, no trailer and no arch. I also thought for sure that it would sell fast because of the condition of it. I live in the Seattle area where there is plenty of water, lakes and the Puget Sound for boats like yours. If you were much closer, and had a trailer, I would definately have paid you a visit to check her out. As it turns out, I couldn't find a FW boat like yours here in my neck of the woods that I could afford on a civil servants salary, so I have turned my attention to the Bayliner Cierra 2858 (flybridge) models. Some feedback was given and wasn't taken quite so well. Someone was advised that Bayliner's tend to be made for the value consumer... and they didn't like that opinion too well. Millhaven, I stand corrected and apologize for my misunderstanding your comment. I have been a member of this forum a long time, but had not been on it for quite some time so I was obviously out of the loop on what transpired earlier.
