We purchased this boat to use on the weekends while at the lake. We wanted a boat we could comfortably sleep in but also enjoy during the day on the lake. The Four Winns 248 Vista was the perfect choice. It is a nice cabin cruiser but can easily tow tubes and provide a full day of fun on the water. This boat is very easy to trailer.

We are only selling this boat due to a recent change in financial and work situation. Because of this change, we are not able to use it as often to justify keeping it. This boat will provide many years of fun for the new owner. She has been maintained and winterized by competent Volvo Marine mechanics. She has never been stored outdoors and always under cover both during winter and summer. She is thoroughly cleaned and waxed twice per season.

We are selling this boat well under what others of similar year and options are going for. The boat is currently located in dry dock storage just east of downtown Cincinnati (right on the Ohio river). Sea trial can be completed on the river with advance notice. Please no joyrides.

Asking price: $23,900 USD

Seller will work with shipping companies to ship boat. Shipping to be paid by buyer. Boat will not ship until payment is made in full.

Nice boat for a great price. If only I was in the market right now. Some day we will go to a cruiser.

I think that may be where we end up with something like you have. We are actually looking to move from cruiser back to a bowrider. We will get more use our of the bow rider in our current situation.

Wanna trade   ?

Take care,

Tempting my friend! Why would you use a boat like mine more? It is not a bowrider you realize? Mine is a cuddie with less room than what you have while still being same size boat. But mine does go FASTER   !

We are opening a new business and won't be able to overnight at all for the next few years.

We are thinking a bow rider, but I've always liked the look of the baja line. To be honest, not too many people sit in the front of our bowriders in the past, so that space isn't important to me. Speed however, is! :D

I'm going to put the boat on boattrader.com soon. Hoping that I have priced it low enough to get some action quickly!

Main reason we went with the Baja is I like speed and noise, plus the 24 degree hull handles rough water like a dream and our lakes tend to be very choppy. Having the cuddie for the kids to play in and watch a movie is nice and wife likes having the pottie on board. So it seemed to be the perfect boat for us and I can still tow it. With two kids in daycare we can't swing the money for a slip right now.

Going up on boattrader.com on Monday. Any other sites (besides eBay, Craigslist) that anyone can recommend?

Thanks,

Hello Folks,

I have someone interested in my boat. They are about 10 hours away from me. We have agreed on a price, of course pending sea trial. They are getting a loan to purchase the boat.

This is my first time selling something like this. How can I make sure I am protected? I assume they will bring some sort of bank check from their loaning bank. How can I make sure it clears prior to giving them the boat? They want to make the drive only one time, over a weekend.

Looking for advice from those that have sold. I want to make sure I don't give the boat away until I'm sure the money is there.

Thanks

When I sold my boat last summer the buyer gave me a cashiers check for $25K so we went to the bank and the bank called and verified the funds with the bank that issued the check. Took about 20 minutes to verify the check was legit.

If your title is clear with no liens, they can bring a certified check. Most banks will want a copy of the clear title faxed to them for proof. This will give you a chance to speak to someone at the bank too.
Since it's going to be a weekend deal, you won't be able to call & verify at that time.

Otherwise, they send a bank draft (envelope) for you to mail the title in & they send you back a check.

The fact that they come in the weekend might make going to a bank harder. We were in the same position when selling a bike a while ago and got information at the Wallmart financial center. There was a way that they could clear the check, but we at the end never had to do it, so I don't remember exactely what it was. But go and ask them...
